This is my update, it’s been a couple years and I feel now is a good time for one! After my wife and I turned 30 in July I have been thinking about updating our story. We continue to prosper at what we do and have been pretty frugal since when we first posted. I finally got a raise and a promotion , which is just the start of our good luck. About two years ago we purchased land back home in PA even though we still have time left in Boston. We got an amazing deal on 2.2 acres on a golf course that now appraises for $350,000. Since the last time we spoke we have paid down debt,we have paid off both cars, my wife’s medical loans and under grad degree, also purchased about $25,000 in gold and silver. We have about $55,000 in equity in our condo in Boston and together we now have over $95,000 in 401k and Roth accts. We are working extra hard at paying down the land loan so that we will have enough equity to build a 1.5 million dollar house ($300,000) needed or 20%. We also just signed with a private practice which is going to pay my wife and I a $50,000 signing bonus and over $250,000 before taxes a year, starting in 2014. We make about $175,000 a year combined now but once my wife becomes partners at this practice she is expected to make over $750,000. So we are very lucky and well on our way! We our currently half way away to a million. Our plan is to become millionaires before we turn 35. Can we do it? Thank u Ryan for your advice. Work hard, it doesn’t matter what you make… It matters what you are able to save!

Ugh do I have to?  Yeah, ok, there are some ways to make money online with multilevel marketing (MLM) schemes.  The thing is – it’s just seems like a scheezy plan to try to sell to friends and family who then sell to their friends and family.  However, because some of the businesses become so big there are plenty of success stories.

I sold a junk-picked table for $50 last year, and cashed in on a few other items retrieved from a dumpster. But it looks like I could be doing even better — this guy makes a six-figure income dumpster diving.

Not all millionaires are frugal. However, many of those who are self-made millionaires practice some form of frugality. Even billionaires like Warren Buffett have some frugal habits. Frugality is about look for ways to get the best value for your money. It doesn’t always mean getting the cheapest thing; it’s more about the best value. It also means that you don’t waste your money on things that you don’t need or want. Practicing frugality can help you keep more of your money for the future.

It’s kind of a shame because Matt Lloyd the real creator of Mobe has a great backstory and it would be more interesting to hear about that instead of hearing a fake backstory from this guy called Ryan and a bunch of other fake testimonials and reviews.

You know how when something major happens, suddenly there are all kinds of merchandise related to that issue that come out? Well, instead of buying those items, you can be on the other side of it and make money turning the latest trends and happening into cool t-shirts.

In fact, your goal should be to make your income stream your own golden handcuffs. It’s what big companies try to do with talented people. They try and suck you into future revenue so you’re like, “I can’t leave this job. It would cost me too much to leave this job.”

In this episode, we go inside the family business, Herr Foods; see the original Nerf ball and the man behind its amazing success; and hear about The FruitGuys, who made a business out of bringing fruit to the office.

Ok… just as I thought! The more I listened to the video it began to start sounding very familiar. Ryan Matthews is either an affiliate or a partner, more than likely a partner who has purchase the MLR program with a company called MOBE and that beautiful video and the “My Millionaire Mentor” program is Ryan’s funnel to get people into MOBE. The $49 is the cost for one of MOBE’s products called, the MTTB System. Although, there is no mention of MOBE or MTTB in any of Ryan’s sales materials or sales funnel, when you enter your email address, you are taken to the MOBE, MTTB System page to pay the $49. So, “My Millionaire Mentor” is merely a sales funnel to get people to join MOBE. I hope this helps 🙂

Please don’t fall for this Ryan Mathews scam. My Millionaire Mentor is a load of crap and it will absolutely NOT work out like they say. This guy Ryan is a scammer and he is making it rich by ripping off unsuspecting individuals that are desperate to make money online.

If you are looking to learn about more traditional means of starting a business (read: offline), this book does have some good ideas but nothing you’ve not heard or read before if you have read any business or marketing books from the past ten years.

MOBE is a an MLM (multi-level marketing) scam. And I know that they say right to your face that its not a MLM and you don’t have to go out and recruit people. But the truth of the matter is that the guy in the video is a liar and will tell you anything you want to hear.

I am now a multi-millionaire, and I have never had my own business, invented anything or inherited one red cent. What I have always done is paid myself first. Especially in your twenties, max out your retirement deductions, or at the minimum put in an amount that maxes out your company match. The money I contributed in my twenties now accounts for ⅔ of my net worth, even though I contributed much more each year in my thirties and later. Such is the power of compound interest!

The only way to have these types of partnerships is to think long-term. You must be invested and have skin in the game. It can’t be transactional. It’s can’t be this for that. It must be about something a lot deeper. When it is, you’ll have far more integrity in the work you do. You’ll express greater appreciation. You’ll consistently do the right thing, even if that right thing is difficult and uncomfortable.

We live in a world of infinite possibilities. Your choice will decide which possibility is yours. But it only begins when you begin. Heres a quote from a multi-millionaire,author of the book “Year to success” about affiliate marketing, which is a good place to start.

Rule No. 3: Get a customer! This is probably the most important rule for any entrepreneur. I’ve written about this before (“The Easiest Way To Succeed As An Entrepreneur”). People want to go the “magical path” – i.e. get VC money, quit their jobs, build a product, and then suddenly have millions of customers. It NEVER works like that.

In 1991 former Falklands War Para Tony Banks identified an opportunity in the care sector to provide a new standard of privately owned and operated care homes. He bought Lisden House in the countryside setting of Kirriemuir and spent more than a year and £750,000 to convert the private house into an industry-leading care home that residents and their families would enjoy and be proud of.

They will use every psychological trick in the book and every strong arm tactic imaginable to get you to buy ever more expensive levels of membership. Always promising more and bigger and better and never delivering. The ultimate level is nearly $30,000. I’ve heard from some people who went all in and lost every dime.
